Knitty (or Knotty) Girls!

I love the knitting community.  Isn't it great how we are drawn to other knitters and we already have this bond between us?  I am painfully shy and introverted (although people would argue that) and don't like to talk to strangers, but I have made so many new friends from the knitting bloglandia in the last few months - it's just great!  I just got home from spending a couple of hours with Brianne and Kate at Panera Bread - such a good time (and no, I didn't start another sock yet - I stuck with a now "I can do them in my sleep" Lizard Ridge square).  And for all you husbands of us knitters - we are, for the most part, normal (and safe)!  No worries, dude - just hand over the yarn money and no one gets hurt!

No pictures, but ideas are forming.  I've earmarked some Blue Sky Alpaca for an Irish Hiking Scarf, and am bonding with Knit Picks Memories in Redwood Forest for the next sock attempt.  Kate was working on a really cute baby sweater from a yarn called Snuggly.  Isn't that a great name?

Some of the Springfield bloggers are making a field trip on Saturday to check out a new LYS in Rogersville, and to have make our own Knit In.  Zarah's in charge of this excursion, and I'm so looking forward to it!

Until then, happy knitting!

Shy???? Nope - I don't buy it. =)
Can't wait to see you this weekend! (remind me to tell you my funny stories about meeting blogger Ann from Annie Knits in St. Louis last weekend!)

I love that I have met so many new people through blogging, as well. I have not had the opportunity meet anybody in person yet, but someday! It's been great getting to know you, as well. :-)

somehow my earlier link didn't work ... Don't you love blogging friends who are technically inept? Sheesh.

Shy? I don't buy it. You so walked right in and started a conversation with me as if we'd known each other for years. Granted, I know your deep dark devious plan to wrap my hands with duct tape and throw me in your pick up and haul me off to the llama farm where I will be forced to spin day and night as your yarn-making captive never again speaking with my husband who, upon my eventual rescue (which you know would happen since I have a GPS tracker on my fancy-pants Blackberry), would say I TOLD YOU SO!!!

I know what you mean, I've made a lot of friends in blogland. I'm not big on making friends mostly because I'm on a military base and it seems like every time I make a good friend they end up with orders to move to another base. It really stinks to continue having to say goodbye to friends all the time.

It's awesome that you've met so many local knitters in the blogosphere... hehe, I'm still KIP furiously, trying to drum up some interest around here...LOL Have fun tomorrow!
