As much as I often get annoyed by the uber-perkiness of Vickie Howell, I do confess to watching fast-forwarding through episodes of Knitty Gritty. Some of her guests are entertaining, and some of the demonstrations have proved to be very helpful in understanding certain stitches, cast-on's, etc. Vickie has the schedule for the next couple of weeks out on her blog. The main item of interest? The Harlot's episode will air on April 17th - should be very interesting!
If any of the local knitters don't get DIY, I'll keep the episode on the DVR and maybe we can have a knitting/watch party!

I don't get DIY, or at least we haven't found it on our free-to-air-satellite. I'd love to see the Harlot's show!

I record it on my DVR too. I've gotten some great tips from watching. Cookie A was on the other day with an episode on socks and ScoutJ from Scout's Swag is going to be on Monday talking about hand dying. How's it going with your socks?

I don't get that station either. Vickie does annoy me most of the time, but I'd love to watch the Harlot!

Alas, "uber-perkiness" is a network requirement (their mantra is "more fun, more energy") but since the job is a pretty cool one to have, I'm ok with checking my dry sarcasm at the studio door. Remember folks, talk show hosts have feelings, too. :-) --Vickie

Yikes! My apologies, Vickie - I meant no harm, and I'm honored that you read my blog!
