For my faithful blog readers, you know that my dad has perfected his peanut brittle recipe, and that each year around Thanksgiving, my sister and I join him in churning out several double batches of his famous brittle. We’ve done it enough now that one day (which no matter when it comes will be much too soon), that Kathy and I will be able to carry on the tradition without his help.
I started taking pictures and documenting these times 3 years ago, and for the past couple of years I’ve also taken some video footage, although to avoid embarrassment of me and my family, I won’t be posting it publicly.
In the past, I’ve shared photos of us working, this year, here’s a look at some of the basic ingredients, the handcrafted copper covered boards that my dad made, and a batch of brittle in the cooling process.

So another APBMD has come and gone, and as good as the bags of peanut brittle are, this time I’ve shared with my dad and sister are even sweeter.

That copper board is the coolest thing I have every seen. Wish I had a someone who could make one for me. The peanut brittle would be good about now too.
What a beautiful tradition! You will hold this day in your heart forever. Thanks for sharing! (The event, not the pnut brittle. You haven’t shared that, unfortunately!)
