I Give Up

Apparently, it’s not meant to be for me to be regular with the blog these days. I write posts but forget to take pictures, and then they’re out of date and I don’t post them. One of these days I’ll get back on track. My excuse is valid.
For those who don’t already know, we have engaged hospice services for my mom. She has a debilitating muscular disease which has been incorrectly diagnosed as ALS, a rare form of late-stage muscular dystrophy, myositis, and multiple other diagnoses because they simply can’t put a name to it. Unfortunately, it could have been entirely preventable, had she not been taking statin drugs for high cholesterol 10 years ago. She was on Pravachol, which has since been pulled off the market, but another close friend of mine is going through the same thing with her mother, who was taking Lipitor.
Suffice it to say, I will never take statin drugs, nor will anyone in my family. Anyway, that’s why I’ve not been blogging much, and have fallen off the Plurk and Twitter radar. I’m still knitting and still involved with Knit Together and recording the podcast, but my energy level has its limits. I’ll post as I can, and hopefully have some knitting pictures to show soon.
In the meantime, take care of yourselves!
