Part of what has been keeping me so busy these days, outside of travel, knitting, and a new puppy, is that one of my best friends, and long lost distant cousin, is getting married. As I am a co-matron of honor, and planner extraordinaire, I’ve been helping with wedding plans, planning a bridal shower, and bachelorette party.
Meet Lisa. She’s also known as Lola for her performance of Cocacabana at my wild and crazy bachelorette party almost seven years ago.
Isn’t she beautiful?

She’s also my style guru. This girl can put on a trash bag and make it look chic. From wearing a sequined dress found at Goodwill, to jeans and a t-shirt, to a simple dress, she makes everything look good. (Wait until you see her in her wedding dress.)

Lisa likes to tell people that she was born the day man walked on the moon, and she’s spent many moons waiting for the right guy to come along. Enter Brent into the picture. I like him. And I think he was worth the wait.
We started the party season with her bridal shower, and a “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” theme, because according to Lisa, you can never have too many little black dresses. The guests were encourage to wear their favorite little black dress, along with Tiffany-inspired costume jewelry.

We had a cake designed as the famous little box from Tiffany’s, and shiny things all around to decorate.

We ate brunch.

Lisa got lots of gifts.

Congratulations, Lisa and Brent! Thank you for letting me celebrate this exciting time with you! (And just wait until you find out what’s going to happen at the bachelorette party!)
By the way, Lisa gave the bridal shower two thumbs up!
