Happy New Year! I used to love January 1st, because I love to make lists, resolutions, goals, and then cross things off. I still do, but it doesn’t have as much meaning for me as it used to. I count time differently now. Now, instead of thinking, “Wow, I’m going to be 46 this month,” my internal clock thinks, “Wow, this is going to be my 3rd birthday since I lost my mom,” or think how my mom never got to see 2010 or 2011, and 2012 will be added to that list, as will all future years.
Anyway, life goes on, so I continue to make my goals and my Plan for the year. I’ll succeed on some things, fall short on others, and likely write a similar post on January 1, 2013. But for now, it’s time to embrace 2012 and all it has to offer.
Happy New Year.
